Map your exposure
Complete a pregnancy-specific intake covering water, food, cookware, cosmetics, textiles, occupation, home environment, and lifestyle.
Environmental exposure guidance for pregnancy & preconception
ClearNest Health combines clinician-guided PFAS testing, environmental exposure assessment, and personalized reduction plans for people trying to conceive, pregnant, or postpartum.
From concern to clarity
PFAS, plastics, water filters, cookware, cosmetics, packaging, textiles, and dust can feel overwhelming. ClearNest helps patients separate high-impact actions from expensive noise, then turns results and exposure history into a plan that is understandable, practical, and medically conservative.
How it works
Complete a pregnancy-specific intake covering water, food, cookware, cosmetics, textiles, occupation, home environment, and lifestyle.
Choose clinician-guided PFAS blood testing and optional water testing. Microplastic testing is treated as emerging science, not a diagnostic shortcut.
Receive ranked recommendations by likely impact, cost, effort, evidence strength, and pregnancy relevance.
Follow reminders, update your exposure profile, and discuss your clinician summary with your OB-GYN, midwife, MFM, or fertility specialist.

Science without scare tactics
ClearNest is designed around transparent interpretation. PFAS blood testing can estimate levels of selected PFAS compounds, but it does not diagnose disease, identify every exposure source, or predict a pregnancy outcome. Microplastic testing is an emerging field with important measurement and clinical-interpretation gaps.
We use results to support exposure-reduction conversations and practical planning, not to promise treatment or predict future health.
CDC/ATSDR clinician guidanceEnvironmental exposure counseling belongs in preconception and prenatal care. ClearNest gives patients structured education and clinician-ready summaries.
ACOG guidanceWe treat microplastic guidance as an exposure-reduction module unless testing quality and interpretation standards support more.
Review of assessment challengesFounder
ClearNest Health was founded by Jonathan Hirshberg, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, to give patients a calm, evidence-informed way to respond to environmental exposure concerns during one of the most important windows of health decision-making.
As an MFM, Jonathan brings a pregnancy-specific lens to PFAS and microplastic concerns: patients deserve clear explanations, careful claims, and practical steps that complement prenatal and fertility care rather than replacing it.
For clinicians
Patients are asking about PFAS, plastics, cookware, water filters, cosmetics, and “detox” protocols. ClearNest gives them evidence-graded education, practical reduction plans, and clear summaries they can bring back to their care teams.
FAQ
No. PFAS blood testing can estimate exposure to selected compounds, but it cannot diagnose a condition or predict future health outcomes. ClearNest uses results to guide exposure-reduction planning and clinician conversations.
We do not make detox claims. Our focus is reducing future exposure and supporting practical, evidence-informed choices.
Not necessarily. Testing may be most useful for people with known or suspected exposure, such as contaminated water, occupational exposure, or community exposure. ClearNest helps patients decide whether testing is likely to be useful.
Clinical interpretation is still emerging. ClearNest treats microplastic testing as exploratory unless stronger clinical standards are available.
